Once in a while I want to highlight bands which most people may not have heard, and Kamelot is as good of a choice as any to begin. They’re an American progressive metal band who kicks Dreamtheater’s soulless butt…and I realize that I’ve probably lost most of you by now. So, thanks to YouTube you don’t have to strain your eyes reading my usual long-winded reviews; here is their music video for their single “The Haunting” off of their album The Black Halo. I always tell people to at least listen through the first chorus before making an opinion; the same holds true here. And besides, guest singer Simone Simons is extremely easy on the eyes.
